Prayer For The Release Of Souls In Purgatory - POEM

 O Lord of mercy, hear our plea,

For all the souls who long for Thee.

In purgatory suffering, they seek your light,

We lift them in prayer, O guide their flight.

Through cleansing fire, through pain they yearn,

For the embrace of Your love, to which they turn.

With every Mass and prayer we raise,

We seek their release, and sing Your praise.

O gentle Savior, hear our cry,

Embrace their spirits, and raise them high.

Cease their sufferings, grant them peace,

And in Your presence, let their sorrows cease.

In union with saints, we stand in grace,

For each precious soul, we seek a place.

May they find joy in Heaven’s pure embrace,

And dwell forever in Your holy space.

Amen.
